Design

Carolina Baranski is our specialist lighting designer who formerly worked for Joanna Wood Trading. Her knowledge allows her to design joinery pieces with built-in lighting or even to specify light features for staircases and other areas in more inventive ways. Incorporating lighting in ceiling coves to define better the living spaces, or creating glass panel-lit divisions, or using spot lights on the right positions to high-light a furniture detail or artwork. Possibilities are endless when joining the lighting to the interior design and architectural features.

Our Goal
To work in partnership with landscape designers or other architectural and interior design practices, producing lighting schemes, drawings and helping to specify the right light fitting for specific areas. Our idea is to work together with lighting suppliers and main contractors as well as with electricians on site to make the concept design feasible along with the technical and mechanical issues.

Presentation
Lighting is very difficult to imagine if not completed. For that reason the presentation is really important. We produce basic lighting schedules which describes the fittings itself; give quantities, locations, lamp wattages and beam angles when necessary. We also produce coloured AutoCAD drawings detailing on plan the circuit and switch positions and on elevations showing the lamp beam directions. 3D images are also very useful to visualise the end result, which can also be produced if required.
